Hi, my name is Jenny Lines and I am a freelance CAD Pattern-maker based in the beautiful Wakefield Village of Nelson NZ. Making patterns is my dream job, and I can honestly say I can’t imagine doing anything else!

I have over 20 years experience in the clothing industry, most of which has been as a Pattern-maker and business owner. In 2011 I switched to remote based working so I could start Lines Pattern-making alongside growing and raising our 3 gorgeous boys. During this time, I have built up a fabulous client base of NZ designers & clothing companies from all around the country, many of which I have never actually met in person! CAD patterns are digital patterns, they allow my clients the flexibility of manufacturing either Off-shore or within NZ if the factory is compatible. My service allows clients easy communication during the Pattern-making process and ensures they retain full ownership of their patterns which is not always the case using an in-house factory service.

Women’s wear is my true passion and my main focus. I get the most satisfaction from the challenges and varied design elements that Women’s fashion brings to my desk. It’s so important to me to love what I do and my best work has always come from staying true to that.
