Our patterns are made to international standards.

Step 1: Pattern-making

We custom make patterns from scratch based on your designs and specifications. We can either draft the patterns off your existing garment samples, or work from a sketch if reference samples are supplied. Our patterns are made using CAD software, so they can be emailed straight to you or your CAD compatible manufacturer based in NZ or Offshore. We do not work with manual patterns sorry.

Step 2: Grading

We then grade your base patterns into the size ranges you request. Grading rules determine how many cm’s your garments will increase by per size. If you have specific grading rules you would like us to use, we're happy to work with your requests. Alternatively, if you are unsure or would like to go with standard grade rules then leave it to us!

Step 3: Production Spec

For every pattern made, we also create a one-page Production Spec. Our spec contains a technical sketch of the garment design, the flat garment measurements, the grading rules and some basic construction notes. This spec will form an important part of the Tech pack which you will create for your manufacturer.

We contract to designers and clothing companies all around New Zealand.
